Lacy is a Commercial Banker for Entegra Bank, a 1.5 Billion dollar Community Bank that has offices in NC, SC, & GA. He has been in banking since graduating from University of North Carolina Asheville with a major in Monetary Finance and Economics. He started his career with a community bank in South Carolina prior to returning to Asheville to manage a mortgage company. During his twenty years in banking, he was one of the founding employees of High Street Bank which later merged with Capital Bank. After ten plus years in the mortgage industry, he moved into the commercial and construction lending arena. Lacy has continued his banking career with large regional banks like First Citizens Bank and new start ups like Old Town Bank. Lacy is involved on several non-profit boards like Carolina’s / Virginia’s RMA Regional board, Land of the Sky Board of Realtors, Art Space Charter School Foundation, and American Bankers Association Commercial Real Estate Committee. Lacy enjoys spending time speaking on panels and lecturing for local colleges and non-profit organizations. His lectures include banking topics as well as aspects of professional growth. Lacy has been married to an Asheville native for the past twenty years and has two children. He enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time at the lake with his family.
